Daniel Galletti

Hello! I'm Daniel Galletti, a Sound Designer for Video Games and Media. I'm passionate about using audio to enhance narrative and interactive experiences. Many will agree that those BIG, EPIC, IN YOUR FACE moments often wow us, but I would argue that carefully crafting the tiniest of details is what helps us ground stories. I believe combining these two principles is what brings worlds to life - this is how unforgettable experiences are created.

I can help you achieve that.

ABOUT ME

I worked a couple of years as a Localization QA Tester at Keywords Studios. I was involved in over 20 projects ranging from AAA to indies, mobile to VR, including Oxenfree II: Lost Signals and Redfall. My time there was invaluable in helping me understand game development cycles, industry standard tools and collaborating with global teams in a fast-paced environment. The first film that I ever saw in the cinema was The Lion King. When a certain character was lying on the ground after being trampled by a stampede, I allegedly stood up in my chair and started yelling at the screen, begging others to help him. While a funny story to tell, this helped me realize the power of cinema as one of the strongest story telling mediums from a very young age. Some of my favorite films include: Under the Skin, The White Ribbon and The Lobster.I have played the guitar since I was about 10 years old. My love for progressive metal and experimental sounds led me to become a lifelong student of composition. I don't currently write a lot of music, though I've been known to occassionally write a chiptune, and I'm currently co-writing the score for an animated action short. My musical background is always present when I design. It informs my decisions and helps shape my sound. If you read all that, I salute you. Here's a video of me juggling as a reward.
